Intent
A compact café organised around its service counter. Banquette seating runs the wall, loose seating sits in front of it, and the sightline from the door leads straight to the counter. Timber and warm plaster keep the room close, and the light is kept low so the space feels held rather than lit up.
Language
Timber for the counter and the seating frames, warm plaster across the walls, and pendants dropped low over the tables. The palette is narrow and warm, so the whole room reads as one material family from the moment you are through the door.

The service counter
Built in timber and set in the sightline from the entrance, so the first thing understood on arrival is where to order. Its top gives a working edge for service and somewhere to stand while waiting, which keeps queueing clear of the seated tables.

Banquette wall
Continuous banquette seating runs against a warm plaster wall, fixing the seating line and freeing the floor in front of it for loose chairs. Fixed seating on one side means the covers can change without the room being rearranged each time.

Tables and circulation
Tables sit between the banquette and the counter, each under its own pendant. The arrangement keeps circulation to a single clear route through the room and puts every seat within sight of the service point, which matters at this size.

Wall finish
Warm plaster is carried across the walls in a single tone, with nothing applied over it. In a small room one continuous finish makes the space read larger than it is, and leaves the detailing to the timber and the height of the lights.
