A light-filled retreat in the hills above Kandy, reinterpreting tropical architecture through a minimal lens.
To craft a light-filled, soulful residence that feels grounded in nature and elevated in function. The design gently blends form and feeling — combining clean architectural lines with textural depth and warmth to create a peaceful home rooted in sensory calm.
This home speaks in soft curves, layered lighting and muted finishes. Open volumes, high ceilings and large glazed doors connect indoor spaces with the lush garden beyond. Material honesty is central — each element is chosen to feel tactile, lived-in and timeless.

Living and lounge
An airy layout with plush seating, curved accent chairs and a soft checkered ottoman. Built-in vertical shelves double as focal points, styled with artisanal ceramics, stone sculptures and textural decor. The space flows outdoors through full-height glass.

A rounded-edge timber table sits beneath natural daylight, paired with cream upholstered chairs. Flanked by built-in cabinetry and soft greenery, it creates an intimate setting for both daily meals and entertaining.

Warm timber, pale stone walls, soft upholstery and raw ceramics. The palette adds depth without excess and complements the natural light flooding the interiors.
